Alexandria Sanitation Authority

All Public Notices regarding Invitation For Bids (IFBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other bids are advertised in one or more of the following: (a) The Washington Examiner; (b) the Virginia eProcurement (eVA) website; and (c) the Purchasing bulletin board displayed in the Administration Building. IFBs, RFPs and other bids may be advertised in the Journal Newspaper and sometimes in larger newspapers or trade publications.

IFBs, RFPs and other bids must be submitted in accordance with the terms of the particular notice. Bid openings are held at the time and date specified on each invitation. Under no circumstances will ASA accept bids or proposals after the date and time specified. IFBs are publicly opened and read aloud at the time specified. Vendors are encouraged to attend bid openings as no copies of competitive bids will be made. Unless otherwise specified, awards will be made within sixty (60) days of the opening.
